OZONE THERAPY
It is of no surprise the importance of oxygen to our every biological function. It is our most critical essential nutrient. In the air we breath, oxygen exists in its most stable form, as two molecules – O2. When extreme energy is applied, such as during a lightning storm, the oxygen molecules break apart and reconfigure into a less stable, “supercharged” form of three oxygen molecules – O3, better known as ozone. Clinically, we use ozone generators to activate oxygen and create the ozone. When introduced into your body, the ozone interacts with your own bio-molecules, converting them into ozonides which have remarkable therapeutic properties that last for days and often weeks. In this way, ozone therapy both stimulates and stabilizes biological functions rather than suppressing them, and induces innate healing, balance and well-being. This truly unique trait of ozone allows it to be non-specific, working with your own complex, biochemical and physiological processes to improve, if not eliminate a wide range of symptoms and conditions, both chronic and acute.
Top Beneficial Properties of Ozone
- Ozone increases oxygen utilization by improving the NAD/NADH ratio, which is critical to all cellular reactions and the conversion of oxygen to energy by way of cellular respiration
- Ozone improves circulation and oxygen delivery to tissue by stimulating DPG, an enzyme required to release oxygen from hemoglobin
- Ozone stimulates antioxidant enzymes by up-regulating innate antioxidant capacity and synthesis of more buffering enzymes, as well as preconditions new blood cells to have oxidative resiliency
- Ozone stimulates mitochondria and the production of cellular energy, or ATP
- Ozone regulates the immune system by stimulating cytokines and modulating immune cells, either up or down, to restore balance
- Ozone is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antiparasitic. It inactivates bacteria, viruses, fungi, yeast and protozoa by either disrupting the cell membrane, inhibiting cell growth or inhibiting the reproductive cycle.
- Ozone improves NAD, a biomolecule that is central to metabolism, DNA replication, protein synthesis, cellular and genetic repair, longevity and health
- Ozone reduces and prevents overactive inflammatory response by stimulating Interleukin-2 and Interferon gamma and restoring TH1/TH2 imbalance
